IFES Complaints and Appeals Expert visits Azerbaijan
On May 25th, IFES Complaints and Appeals Consultant, Jonathan Bernstein, arrived in Baku to begin his assessment mission of the current Electoral Complaints and Appeals system. IFES is cooperating with the CEC in designing procedures that will implement the latest Election Code amendments. During his visit, he had a chance to meet with CEC Secretary, Natiq Mammadov, independent election lawyers, Hafiz Hasanov and Chingiz Dadashev, and numerous others.
Jonathan Bernstein is an experienced attorney with a background in election law enforcement, expertise in policy development, and use of information technology to advance business processes. He has over 20 years of work experience with the U.S. Federal Election Commission.
