IFES Luncheon
On June 5th, IFES invited representatives of the Central Election Commission (CEC), local lawyers, USAID representatives, and other international stakeholders to a luncheon at its office. The idea was to bring together people involved in the election process and provide them with an informal setting in which they could meet and talk. It also gave IFES’ expert, Jonathan Bernstein, who was in Baku on his assessment mission of the current system for the handing of electoral complaints and appeals, an opportunity to hold discussions with a variety of interested stakeholders.
