Election Code Amendments Become Law
On June 2nd the Milli Majlis voted to approve draft amendments to the Election Code. On June 24th, 2008, the signed amendments were published in the official newspapers, Azerbaijan and Halq. Under the legislation, the date of official publication, i.e., June 24, 2008, is the effective date of the amendments.
